Chasing the Terpenes: SUN Concentrates and Vapes at HoneyGrove and HoneyStash Dispensaries

Maybe you already know the difference between a live resin and a live badder, and you walk in wanting the good stuff without any fuss. Or maybe you keep hearing people talk about “full-spectrum” and “terpene-forward” extracts, and you want someone to break it down without making you feel like you missed a lecture. Either way, you’re in the right place. SUN is one of the brands we get genuinely excited to talk about at HoneyGrove and HoneyStash Dispensaries, and this page is a friendly deep-dive into what makes their concentrates and vapes worth reaching for.

Here’s the short version: SUN is a New Jersey cannabis brand built around flavor. Their tagline says it all — “only fire makes sunshine.” Everything in their lineup, from Liquid Sunshine live resin vapes to their live sugar and live badder, is crafted to spotlight the plant’s terpene profile rather than bury it. That focus on flavor and aroma is exactly why we sought them out. We’re a team of creative, engaged cannabis lovers, and when a producer cares about the plant the way we do, it shows in every gram.

What Sets SUN Extracts Apart

Concentrates are where cannabis gets concentrated — literally. When you extract the trichomes from the flower, you’re capturing the cannabinoids and terpenes in a form that’s far more potent and expressive than smoking the raw bud. But not all extracts are created equal. The magic is in preserving the delicate compounds that give each strain its personality: the citrus snap of a limonene-heavy cultivar, the earthy depth of myrcene, the peppery kick of caryophyllene. SUN builds their whole identity around protecting those compounds.

The “live” in live resin, live sugar, and live badder refers to the starting material. Instead of using dried and cured flower, live extracts are made from plants that are flash-frozen right after harvest. Freezing locks in the terpenes before they can degrade or evaporate during the drying process. The result is a concentrate that tastes and smells remarkably close to the living plant — bright, layered, and true to the strain. When you open a jar of SUN live badder, you get that first hit of aroma that tells you the extraction was done with care.

Understanding the SUN Product Family

One of the things we love about walking folks through the SUN lineup is that each texture serves a slightly different purpose. Here’s a quick tour of what you’ll find and how each one behaves:

• Liquid Sunshine live resin vapes: The grab-and-go star of the lineup. These cartridges deliver the full live resin experience in a portable, no-mess format. Perfect if you want terpene-rich flavor without a rig or torch.
• Live sugar: A crystalline, granular texture that gets its name from its sugar-like appearance. It’s easy to handle, scoops cleanly, and offers a big, expressive flavor when dabbed.
• Live badder: A creamy, whipped consistency that spreads like frosting. Badder is a favorite for its smooth workability and its knockout aroma — it’s the texture people reach for when they want maximum terpene punch.

Each format highlights the plant in its own way. The vapes are all about convenience and consistency, giving you predictable dosing session after session. The live sugar and live badder are for the dab enthusiast who wants to experience the concentrate at its most flavorful. When you visit HoneyGrove and HoneyStash Dispensaries, we can help you match the texture to your setup and your preferences, whether you’re a first-time dabber or someone with a fully dialed-in quartz banger and a temperature reader.

How We Curate Brands Like SUN

We don’t stock a brand just because it exists. We’re absolutely committed to having the best product selection in the state, and that means we go looking for the Garden State’s highest-quality, independent craft producers. SUN earned its spot on our shelves because it lines up with everything we believe about cannabis: that it’s a tool for expanding consciousness and well-being, and that customers deserve products made with care at fair prices.

Our Chief Cannabis Officer, “Big Dave” Valese, has spent decades dedicated to this plant, and that history informs how we evaluate everything we carry. When we bring in a concentrate line, we’re thinking about extraction quality, terpene preservation, consistency batch to batch, and whether the flavor actually delivers on the promise. SUN passes those tests, which is why it’s become one of the concentrate lines our customers ask for by name.

Real Ways People Enjoy SUN

Every cannabis consumer is different, and we celebrate that. Here are a few of the scenarios where SUN products tend to shine, based on what we hear from folks across Gloucester Township, Laurel Springs, Stratford, Clementon, Sickerville, Blackwood, Pine Hill, Lindenwold, Deptford, Voorhees, Evesham & Cherry Hill, NJ:

1. The flavor chaser: If you care more about how a strain tastes than raw potency numbers, live badder and live sugar are your best friends. Low-temperature dabs let you taste the full terpene bouquet before the cannabinoids kick in.
2. The busy commuter: Liquid Sunshine vapes fit in a pocket and require zero setup. Discreet, controlled, and ready whenever you have a moment to yourself.
3. The evening unwinder: A single dab of live resin at the end of a long day delivers a rich, well-rounded experience that a lot of people find more satisfying than flower alone.
4. The curious upgrader: If you’ve been smoking flower and want to explore concentrates without going too deep too fast, the vape carts are a comfortable entry point. Come chat with us and we’ll set you up.

Technical Notes Worth Knowing

Let’s get a little nerdy, because SUN products reward the curious. Terpenes aren’t just about flavor — they interact with cannabinoids in what many enthusiasts call the entourage effect, where the combined compounds create an experience that’s fuller than any single molecule on its own. Because SUN uses flash-frozen material, their extracts retain a wider and more intact terpene spectrum than concentrates made from cured flower. That’s the science behind why live extracts feel so vivid.

Storage matters, too. Concentrates like live sugar and live badder are sensitive to heat and light, both of which can degrade terpenes over time. Keep your SUN products in a cool, dark spot, and use a clean dab tool to avoid contaminating the batch. For the vapes, store them upright when possible and keep them out of extreme temperatures so the oil flows consistently. Little habits like these protect the flavor you paid for. If you ever have questions about handling or dosing, our team is always happy to walk you through it.
